SÓLIDA participates in Expo Energía Perú 2024

On June 24th and 25th, Lima became the epicentre of regional energy debate with the celebration of Expo Energía Perú 2024. This year, the conference and exhibition brought together more than 140 companies, 60 distinguished speakers, and 500 executives, establishing itself as a vital space to discuss the future of sustainable energy in Peru.

The event highlighted the presence and active participation of national and international experts, who shared perspectives on the energy transition in Latin America and the impact of renewable energies on Peru’s electricity grid.

Peru has significant resources and advantages that facilitate the adoption of a cleaner and more efficient energy matrix. However, to ensure success in reducing CO2 emissions, the urgent need for precise legislation that actively promotes clean energies within the country was underscored. This call reinforces the importance of strategic alliances between the public and private sectors to integrate new technologies and position Peru as a regional leader in renewable energies.

Topics covered in the conferences included the sectoral policy of the Peruvian electricity market, energy financing strategies, and comprehensive management of generation and transmission assets. Additionally, the challenges and opportunities in electric distribution and transmission, as well as the environmental impact of electricity production and good corporate sustainability practices, were analysed.

In summary, Expo Energía Perú 2024 was not only a space for reflection and idea exchange on sustainable energy, but also a catalyst for future investments and collaborations that will drive Peru’s energy transformation towards a greener and more competitive regional future.
