With nearly 2,500 projects in over 50 countries, SÓLIDA has been supporting its clients since 2007 across all phases of the asset lifecycle
SÓLIDA surpasses 220 GW of global renewable energy experience, reinforcing its leadership as a benchmark engineering firm in the energy transition

SÓLIDA has surpassed 220 GW of accumulated experience in energy projects worldwide. This milestone consolidates its leadership position as a trusted technical partner for leading developers, IPPs, utilities, EPC contractors, investment funds and financial institutions, who value SÓLIDA’s commitment to excellence, technical independence and sustainability.
Experience by technology
- Solar PV: 148 GW
- Wind: 45 GW
- Energy Storage (BESS): 29 GWh
- CSP & CC: 9 GW
- Biomass: 0.5 GW
Across all these technologies, SÓLIDA provides specialised services in engineering, consultancy and site supervision.
“The numbers speak for themselves. We’ve been moving forward with the sector for nearly two decades. Our commitment to continuous improvement and technological innovation, the promotion of internal talent, and our ambition to make SÓLIDA a globally recognised brand are some of the keys to our success,” says Andrés Medina, Business Development Director at SÓLIDA.

Commitment to technological diversification
In recent years, SÓLIDA has experienced a particularly dynamic growth phase, marked by expansion into emerging technologies and new markets. Notably, the company has driven forward energy storage projects, which are essential for improving grid flexibility and enabling greater integration of renewables. Since 2023 alone, SÓLIDA has been involved in over 150 BESS projects, both stand-alone and hybrid systems combining solar and/or wind.
The company is also developing agrivoltaic projects, which combine photovoltaic energy generation with agricultural production—an innovative approach gaining traction in countries such as Italy and France. Additionally, SÓLIDA is active in repowering and revamping existing wind and solar farms, a growing niche in markets like Spain and Portugal, where assets are nearing the end of their operational life after more than two decades.
In line with its forward-looking vision, SÓLIDA is also advancing new business lines in other strategic sectors for the energy transition, including green hydrogen, biogas and data centres—three areas with high potential for industrial decarbonisation, efficient resource management and energy digitalisation.
Beyond generation: electrical infrastructure
SÓLIDA’s expertise extends beyond renewable generation. The company plays a key role in the development of electrical infrastructure, having contributed to the design and supervision of over 2,700 kilometres of high-voltage lines and more than 400 electrical substations. This end-to-end capability positions SÓLIDA as a comprehensive engineering firm and technical advisor for complex energy projects, both in greenfield and brownfield environments.
International expansion
Alongside its technological diversification, SÓLIDA has strengthened its commitment to international growth, expanding its activities in high-potential markets such as Saudi Arabia, Italy, Romania, Peru, Mexico and South Africa.
This international focus is reflected in a strategy that combines local presence with a network of trusted partners in key markets, enabling the company to deliver its expertise across five continents: Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
“In this multicultural SÓLIDA, with over 300 employees from 18 different nationalities, our international expertise and technical reliability to operate anywhere in the world play a key role in earning our clients’ trust—combined with our ability to tailor our value proposition to the needs, regulatory frameworks and local characteristics of each market,” concludes Andrés Medina.
With nearly 2,500 projects in over 50 countries, SÓLIDA has been supporting its clients since 2007 across all phases of the asset lifecycle—from origination and development to technical advisory for financing, construction and operation. The company currently has a physical presence in eight countries (Spain, Italy, Portugal, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Colombia, Dominican Republic) and expects to announce the opening of a new office later this year.
