SÓLIDA participates as Independent Technical Advisor in Noor Midelt, the first hybrid solar project that combines CSP and PV

The Noor Midelt project is the first complex to specify hybrid plants, including solar thermal and photovoltaic. This is one of the initiatives of the Moroccan Solar Energy Agency (MASEN), whose objective is to reach a total power of 2,000 MW by 2020.

SÓLIDA will support one of the three consortiums participating in the tender, in which two contiguous projects are put out. SÓLIDA’s scope is design optimization, PV & CSP basic engineering and guarantee performance model.

The performance model developed based on SÓLIDA’s proprietary technology requires combining CSP production and PV production at the same connection point, optimizing the dispatch strategies of the CSP plant to meet the objectives set by MASEN in terms of production percentages. during peak hours and off-peak hours.
