SÓLIDA joins AEE – Spanish Wind Energy Association!
SÓLIDA has become a member of the Spanish Wind Energy Association (AEE), the leading representative of the sector in Spain. With over 350 affiliated companies, AEE represents more than 90% of the industry, including developers, manufacturers, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
With a track record of involvement in 37,000 MW worldwide and over 7,000 MW in Spain, our membership in the association reaffirms our commitment to the growth of renewable energy in the country, particularly, wind power. Notable projects we have been involved in include the Molar del Molinar Wind Farm (50 MW) for Iberdrola, the Tórtoles Wind Farm (148 MW) for Alfanar, and the Mudarra Wind Farm (100 MW) for Abei Energy.
SÓLIDA has a team of specialists in wind energy and related disciplines (civil, electrical, transmission lines, substations, etc.), providing support to developers, EPC contractors, and financial institutions at all project stages. In the early phase, we conduct feasibility studies, grid access and connection analysis, and Energy Yield Assessment, all crucial to determining a wind farm’s viability. Throughout the development process, we offer comprehensive services, including detailed engineering, procurement support, construction supervision, EPCm, and Technical Due Diligences.
According to AEE, wind energy leads electricity generation and installed capacity in Spain. In 2023, it was the country’s primary electricity source, covering 25% of total demand. Spain is a global leader in this sector, ranking sixth in the world in intellectual property, thanks to a strong regulatory framework and a robust industrial network. In 2022, the five largest markets (China, the US, Germany, India, and Spain) accounted for 71% of new wind power installations.
