SÓLIDA advisor of NextEnergy Capital on the acquisition of a 110 MW solar project

The plant, located in Segovia, will provide clean energy to over 55,000 households and prevent the emission of 47,450 tonnes of CO2 annually.

SÓLIDA has had the honour of collaborating with NextEnergy Capital on the acquisition of a significant 110 MW photovoltaic solar project
located in Segovia, Spain. The “Pato” project, currently under construction and set to begin operations in the first quarter of 2025, will generate approximately 215.6 GWh of clean energy per year—enough to power more than 55,000 homes and prevent the emission of 47,450 tonnes of CO2 annually. The project is part of the international portfolio of NextPower V ESG and is equipped with the latest solar technologies, such as bifacial modules and tracking systems, to optimise efficiency and performance.
Our team was responsible for conducting a Confirmatory Technical Due Diligence, a key process for thoroughly assessing all technical, regulatory, schedule, and contractual aspects of the project. This ensured that the project aligns with the highest standards of quality, while mitigating risks and confirming the long-term viability of the investment. Thanks to our extensive experience in consultancy and technical advisory, we were able to provide a critical and detailed perspective in the decision-making process.
The Confirmatory Due Diligence not only ensures that the project aligns with our clients’ technical and financial objectives, but also mitigates the risks associated with its execution and future operation. At SÓLIDA, we understand the importance of every technical detail in such large-scale projects, and in this case, we helped reinforce confidence in the acquisition through a comprehensive technical analysis.
With this project, SÓLIDA has surpassed 50 GW of experience in high-level technical advisory for renewable energy projects globally, consolidating our position as a leading figure in the sector. We are committed to continuing to provide a comprehensive and personalised approach to ensure the success of strategic projects like this, which not only contribute to the growth of clean energy but also to a more sustainable future.
