SÓLIDA takes over a new owner’s engineering contract for the Nudo Campanario Renovables, in Albacete

The project, which totals 250 MW, consists of 5 photovoltaic plants, a booster substation and a high voltage overhead line.

The Campanario Renovables node, in Albacete, is one of the most representative in the new wave of projects that our country is experiencing. The 132/400 kV substation, which has an impressive 780 MVA transformer, was energized at the beginning of the year under the project management of SÓLIDA and will allow the connection of 750 MW in new photovoltaic and wind projects.

One of the photovoltaic complexes that has recently begun construction and that will be connected to this node is the homonymous “PV Campanario”, made up of 5 plants of 50 MW each, totaling a power of 250 MW, which will be evacuated through a 30/132 kV substation and an overhead line of about 4 km at 132 kV to the Campanario Renovables substation.

SÓLIDA Renewable Energies has been awarded the owner’s engineering contract of the facilities, being responsible for reviewing the detailed engineering, as well as supervising the construction and commissioning with a team of professionals on-site.

The project, which will be built by Eiffage, is located between the municipalities of Bonete and Higueruela, in the province of Albacete, and around 500 people will work on the works at its peak.

SÓLIDA is a Madrid-based company founded in 2007 that offers engineering and consultancy services with high added value in the renewable energy sector (PV, CSP, wind, biomass) and its electrical evacuation infrastructure. It accumulates an experience of more than 50,000 MW in nearly 50 countries and has subsidiaries in Brazil, Chile and Argentina.
